Lindsey Malcolm

Lindsey Malcolm, Environmental Team Leader at XCO2 Energy Ltd will join our panel of experts at the upcoming “ESOS Implementation" evening event on 8th October. This CBx Evening event will shine a spotlight on industry uptake of the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme. We will hear from Keith Brierley, Senior Advisor at the Environment Agency, on the implementation of ESOS so far and learning outcomes from the process. University College London will present research on Energy Audits in complex buildings and finally, the speakers will be joined by Industry Experts for a panel discussion which will explore the ESOS process alongside challenges and opportunities identified so far.

Lindsey has a diverse background in energy and environmental analysis, sustainable design and strategy development across a wide range of projects.  He has over 8 years’ experience working in the building environment on projects across the UK, Europe and Middle East, developing and delivering low energy sustainable design solutions for numerous residential, commercial and cultural projects.  Lindsey has previously worked on development and implementation of sustainable design and operation policy in the Middle East and provided expert technical review and support of energy strategies for high profile masterplan developments in the UK and overseas.  Lindsey is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and actively involved in the CIBSE Young Energy Performance Group, he was also part of the inaugural UK-GBC Future Leaders Programme and was identified as one of Building Magazine’s 2014 50 Rising Stars in Sustainability.

Over the last few years Lindsey has delivered a diverse range of energy audits and POE studies for a mixture of commercial buildings throughout the UK and internationally. He is managing XCO2’s work in supporting our clients and collaborators with discharging their ESOS obligations whilst retaining a focus on implementing the savings opportunities identified.
