Andries van der Walt, Associate, Head of Sustainability, Asset Services at Cushman & Wakefield will join our panel of experts at the upcoming “ESOS Implementation" evening event on 8th October. This CBx Evening event will shine a spotlight on industry uptake of the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme. We will hear from Keith Brierley, Senior Advisor at the Environment Agency, on the implementation of ESOS so far and learning outcomes from the process. University College London will present research on Energy Audits in complex buildings and finally, the speakers will be joined by Industry Experts for a panel discussion which will explore the ESOS process alongside challenges and opportunities identified so far.

Andries van der Walt is Head of Sustainability at Cushman & Wakefield and is a specialist advisor to owners and occupiers of commercial real estate on the role and impact of sustainability on their property decisions. He has over 17 years’ experience in the field and holds a Master degree and a PhD in Environmental Management and Assessment. Some of his key clients include National Australia Bank, Invesco Real Estate, Development Securities and St Martins. In his spare time Andries is a keen amateur photographer and enjoys keeping fit by participating in triathlons.

Part of Andries’ work involves assisting clients in meeting regulatory requirements that affect their businesses, one of which is the ESOS. His aim in doing so is to find cost effective ways to help clients meet their requirements, whilst maintaining a strong focus on maximising the value that their business derive from this.
