Almost 200 countries have come together to sign a single agreement on tackling climate change to limit global temperature rise “well below” 2oC. The Paris agreement lays out a roadmap to achieving this goal, focusing on limiting greenhouse gases “as soon as possible”, reviewing each country’s contributions every 5 years from 2018, and by providing “climate finance” to help poorer nations adapt. An entire day was dedicated to Buildings, with the introduction of the Global Alliance for Building & Construction and funding available from The Building Efficiency Accelerator and District Energy Accelerator.
After the Paris Agreement, what does this mean for the property sector in the UK, following a year of major changes in the low carbon policy? Join us on Wednesday 10th February to hear speakers from across the industry discuss the possible implications of COP21 on the building industry.
